• Security Officer Registration Act (SORA)—This training is for people who want to become security officers or for current officers who have to renew their training.

Security On Duty

• Personal Protection and Baton Tactics (PBAT)—This course teaches guards and officers techniques and tricks for using a baton while preventing injury.

• Practical and Tactical Handcuffing (PATH)—This course teaches effective use of handcuffs.

• Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training (OCAT)—This course teaches how to use pepper spray safely and tricks for using it, as well as how to defend yourself from a pepper spray attack and what to do if you get sprayed.


NRA First Steps Basic Knowledge 4 Hrs
This class teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This 

course is about 4 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. You’ll learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, pistol parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the two-handed standing positions, and continued opportunities for skill development. If you didn’t understand anything you just read, don’t worry everyone is in the same boat. After the class, you will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and a course completion certificate.

What You Will Need To Bring
• If you do not have a firearm, no problem, a selection will be supplied during the class at no additional charge.
• Have your own firearm? Great. Please bring it along.
• Ammo: 22, 9, or 38 ammo is supplied. If you choose to bring a pistol and it uses a different caliber, please bring a box of factory ammo to use.
• Course Completion: Students will receive feedback on all live-fire exercises.
• This course is all inclusive: Class – Certificate – Materials – Range Time – Targets – Eye and Ear Protection.
• Please wear comfortable clothing. No open-toed shoes.


NRA Basic Pistol 8 Hrs
This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.

NRA First Steps Rifle 4 Hrs
This class teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a rifle safely. This course is about 4 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning your rifle or one that is supplied by us. Normally we use an AR 15 platform. You’ll learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the bench rest position, and two-handed standing positions, cleaning the rifle, and continued opportunities for skill development. At the conclusion of the class you will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Rifle Shooting Handbook, the NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and a course completion certificate.
